About Charlotte De Kroon
I'm originally from the Netherlands and moved to Sheffield with my family in 2017. I graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Amsterdam in 1996. After my Masters I have followed additional studies whilst working, including a training program to qualify as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited by the EABCT (European Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy).
CBT is a great way of dealing with negative thinking and behaviour. It’s a clear, practical and active approach that most clients appreciate. During my CBT training program (which takes far more time in the Netherlands than here, I noticed!) I got in touch with mindfulness and ACT. A beautiful thing about mindfulness/ACT is the kindness that’s incorporated in it. When I give CBT I always use some ACT and Mindfulness in it ,and the other way around!
I have been working in the short-term psychological health-care field for over 15 years in different settings. I had my own private practice CdK in the Netherlands for 7 years. I’m looking forward to meeting you and working together on the things you struggle with, whether it’s anxiety, stress, feeling low or a frustrating feeling that you're just not getting what you want out of life!
Associate of Taylored Psychology
I work at Wellforce as an associate of Taylored Psychology Ltd, alongside Dr Emma Taylor (Clinical Psychologist and director) and Laurence Keith (counsellor in training).
