I am passionately committed to the benefits of yoga for all, having been a practitioner for over 20 years in Sheffield and a teacher for the last four years. I have experienced the benefits of Iyengar yoga myself for my mental, emotional and physical well-being, including getting me through a difficult menopause. I love seeing how the practice transforms students, bringing flexibility to stiff joints and calm to stressed minds and emotions. I am excited about teaching small classes at Wellforce, as this will provide the scope to tailor the classes to students’ individual and group needs, working within a holistic and calm environment.
Iyengar yoga teachers undergo extremely rigorous training and continuing professional development. This results in the award of the Iyengar Certification Mark and full insurance. Teachers are required to know how to assist students with a wide range of problems and health conditions, and a strong emphasis is placed on ensuring student safety.
I combine regular classes at Sheffield Yoga Centre with a part time business in organisational development.
