About Vivienne Webb
Does this sound like you?
You feel desperately alone with your problems, whether or not you have people around you, who love you and care about your well-being.
You feel isolated or stuck with a particular situation – or with a persistent emotional or mental health difficulty.
You want to take some time, away from your usual routines, to reflect on the course of your life.
What I can offer you
I invite you to make an appointment with me – to talk, to reflect, to deepen your own understanding of your situation, and to look to the future. Whatever your experience or difficulty, you’ll be warmly welcomed. During counselling or psychotherapy, I'll be listening carefully, always seeking to understand things from your point of view, and helping you find ways to support yourself and understand yourself better.
-
I will always strive to work with you as an individual, who is coping with personal and unique life events - however, if you have been given a specific mental health diagnosis by another professional, it may well be helpful for you to let me know about this.
-
The therapeutic process may be short-term (from a couple of sessions to several weeks) or longer-term (continuing for several months or considerably longer) and will include regular reviews, for us to check that the way we are working is right for you.
-
I'm happy to answer initial questions on the phone or by email. Please leave your contact details and I will get back to you.

About me
I’m qualified in counselling and psychotherapy and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working with individuals struggling with a wide range of emotional issues and mental health problems. I've worked in a variety of settings including within the NHS, in university counselling services and with MIND the mental health charity.
In addition to the above, I've previously worked in the fields of: education (with young people and teachers), residential social work (with young people), domestic abuse (with adults) and community mental health (with adults).
I've completed additional training as a pregnancy counsellor.
I am interested in the ways we - as individuals and as a society - parent our children and support them into adulthood.
I have monthly supervision with a clinical supervisor.
I'm 51 and the mother of two young adults.
