Bowen Technique
This bodywork therapy can be highly effective for both physical and emotional conditions naturally encouraging the body to heal and repair itself. It can also be great for relaxation.
Bowen Technique
This therapy is non-invasive and can be performed through light clothing. It does not involve massage or heavy manipulation. Gentle, rolling movements are made over muscle and soft tissue, interspersed with periods of rest, as the body is allowed to process the treatment.
Many clients find this therapy a remarkably simple and yet extremely effective treatment for all kinds of health problems.
The technique involves gentle and precise manipulations of soft tissue in the body which release pain and tension and initiate the body’s natural healing abilities. In between sets of moves there are short breaks to allow the body time to respond to the moves made. During these breaks people often feel subtle and fine adjustments happening in the body. The therapy sets a process up in the body that can last for a week - so the full extent of the treatment can be appreciated after this time.
Treatment lasts for about forty-five minutes. Dramatic results can occur after the first session, although it can take up to three or four sessions. However, there are no limits to how many treatments one can receive, and regular top-ups are of great benefit for general health maintenance and to help prevent re-injury.
