As a healthcare profession, physiotherapy's science foundation covers a broad and varied range of work which involves working with people to promote their own health and well being.

The physiotherapist will assess how your body is working and how your condition is affecting your life. They will ask lots of questions, watch your movements and touch the affected area. - exercises to do yourself
- some manual therapy
- advice on posture while sitting and sleeping
- advice on maximising safe movement
- lifestyle advice and activities to avoid
It may also include:
- applying heat or cold to the affected area
- application of a TENS machine to help with any pain.
Physiotherapy may be able to help...
- Back and joint pain
- Arthritis
- Neck pain
- Osteoperosis
- Stroke
