Homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is one of the most popular and highly respected complementary medicines. It has a good evidence base and works well for adults and children. Homeopathic medicines (known as remedies) are selected on an individual basis, after a detailed consultation, aiming to heal the whole person – not just the outer symptoms of the disease. Homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances such as plants and minerals prepared in a way which makes them both powerful and gentle. The remedies are believed to stimulate the immune system, helping the body’s natural ability to heal itself. They are safe for all ages and during pregnancy. There is no danger of addiction, toxicity or lasting side effects.

Homeopathy has been successfully used for over two hundred years. Patients appreciate the opportunity in the consultation to address their physical, mental and emotional health needs together.

What to expect in your first appointment

Your first appointment will range from one hour to an hour and a half. The first appointment is dedicated to finding out about your health. Prior to your appointment you may be sent a health questionnaire to bring to your first appointment. The first appointment is an in depth consultation where your homeopath gathers as much information on your condition and general lifestyle as possible to find the right remedy for you.

Homeopathy can help

Homeopathy treats people as individuals, rather than focusing on the name of the disease or illness. Our clients tell us that they have been helped with a wide range of problems. These include acute illness (e.g fevers, sore throats, toothache, diarrhoea, sprains, travel sickness) as well as chronic or reoccurring conditions (e.g arthritis, eczema, asthma, irritable bowel, menstrual and menopausal problems, pregnancy and breastfeeding problems, allergies, glue ear, anxiety and depression, migraine, aphasia, ADHD behaviour).
