Relate approved counsellors are specially trained and are here to support couples and individuals who are facing tough times in their relationships. They can help guide you through issues and worries and will ask you about your relationship, your partner and what you want to get out of your sessions. You can choose to attend as an individual or as a couple or have a combination of joint or single person sessions. Also, you don’t have to be a married couple to get support from a Relate Counsellor. They are experienced in counselling those in all types of relationships, whether that be a traditional marriage or an open relationship; a same sex or heterosexual relationship; or whether you are seeking help as a single person who has just come out of a relationship or looking to work on previous relationship issues.

All Relate counselling is confidential and non-judgemental. Counsellors will offer advice and help you work through things to try to achieve a more harmonious place in your relationship. You will be able to talk about what’s going on and how you feel and they may give you some ideas of things to try at home.

Counselling may help you to see things in a different way and help you sort through your feelings and concerns.
